Thread: Rock Band Question

Just curious. Can the Guitar Hero controllers be used to play Rock Band? If so I'd buy a copy of the game only just to get more songs.

Yes. The Les Paul and Xplorer models can be used with RB. But the RB strat can't be used with the GH games. Also, I believe they are only selling $179 bundles until Feb. of next year.

I think Sams Club is selling JUST the game on launch day... (if not other retailers too).

I mean, I'm sure Peench is all about getting the "mic / tambourine" thing and living out his dream of being Tracy Partridge, but it's really all about the drum kit man!!

thanks for that info shibumi! we had killed the idea of getting RB because 169 was just to steep for us right now, but knowing that the game can be bought seperately is awesome!! im sure there will be drums all over ebay and hopefully some aftermarket ones will hit the shelves someday

Harmonix said that the GHII and GHIII controllers are compatible. They've said so many times.

Not sure about the PS3 versions. I know for a fact the 360 versions do, but I have yet to hear if the PS3 Les Paul works(though I'd imagine it would)
