Thread: Borderlands

I just finished getting all of the DLC; any suggestions on what I should do first? I'm only a level 38 right now, so I'm a little hesitant to jump in since it sounds like the enemies are pretty tough.

I started a second playthrough; it's crazy to see skags being a bit of a challenge again! I like how they renamed the enemies too. Spitters becoming Hawkers, anything that was a Bad Ass is now a Bad Mutha; I dig it!

If your playing solo most of the time your best of going through playthrough 2, it's all the same missions and what not but it helps your lvl and thats what it is all about. Zombie DLC on PT 1 is around lvl36-38 and goes up a bit for PT 2 and the new weapons you find in Zombie will help you get through PT 2 on the normal game. Cannot say about Moxxie, haven't gotten that yet, but might soon just to get 100%. I started Knoxx on PT2 and enemies started at lvl 51, it was pretty tough till we started lvl'ing up to get past the first section. Just be on the look out for weapons, keeping crap weapons equipped can be your demise.
Other wise if your joining other players game they can power level you, fighting beasties like Crawmerax and you'll get a nice boost after just a couple fights.

Mad props and thanks to Terminal. He helped me take out Crawermax today. When I say he helped me take him out, I mean I hid in a corner and still died 5 times while he did ALL the work by himself. Well done and thanks!

I was kinda annoyed that I lost about a million dollars from all my deaths at first, but then I ended up getting at least 15-20 million dollars in weapons that crawermax dropped.

I was doubtful that we could take him on, but woot ! We did it. "Just the two of us"
If anyone else is in need of a helping hand just float me over an invite. I should be on tonight. So if anyone that is not playing BF2 is looking for some shooting and looting, you know where to find me.

I may take you up on that Terminal! I haven't even attempted the DLC yet; I'm busy getting crushed on my second play through!

sounds good, erica fell asleep on the couch, so i've just been playing halo with french Canadian buddies... it sucks when they talk french then one guy says in English whats going on... they are good halo players but i feel a little left out.

No problem, i gotta off sometime around 11 EST, so i know it wasn't very late in your time zone, erica got the munchies when she woke up and we left to grab some food.

poison- Glad you could join, it was a good group farming the crab for a while, i don't know what happen to the connection either, it was goofy.

Being as the weather is rainy here i might be on a little more today, so if anyone is up for b-lands let me know again, even if i'm in another game.

I'll try to hop on later this evening. Would love to do some more crabbing.

anyone else care to join? frozen and i are having some problems getting into each other's games. It was fine last night with a different host, but when we tried last night and right now we just cannot connect into a party or a game.
Also any advice and what might be the problem ?

If I get online I will look for ya Terminal. I don't know why you can't hook up with Frozen, but I know LoDolphin and I had the same problem when we tried to play Rainbow Sixs Vegas 2. It was weird and we never solved it.

after some chatting with poison and lord blayne, i think we may have figured it out. Thinking it has something to do with wired/wireless xbox live connections. I did some monkey work on the router of mine and DMZ'ed the ip for the xbox and it works fine now, it even changed may nat from moderate to open, with any luck it will also fix some of my connections issues with Halo pals as well.

Moderate NAT always caused that problem for me; I've got to be open to connect with anyone.

Thanks to Bronx's advice, I'm now playing through the DLC with my first playthrough, and it's much easier. Still, I got to a part in the zombie area where I'm trying to meet the doctor, and this massive tank something or other comes out. I can't beat that guy! I'm thinking that I'm going to need some co-op help for that dude.
