Thread: Kodu Game Creator Sign-in!

It should be out today or tomorrow, so I thought we should get this going. I already know that I am buying this, so I will put my name down. You can share your creations with people on your Friends List, so add people from the list as you are able! Maybe this will be a good place to flesh out ideas for the Indie Game that we have in the planning stages.

400 Points is all?? That is so cheap! I expected 1200 or 1500. Nice!

Played with the demo, pretty cool

I've spent maybe 30 minutes with this game so far and I really love it. After just going through a few of the tutorials, I honestly think this game will offer hours and hours of anything-but-mindless fun.

400 points is nothing for a game like this. I would have easily paid 1200.

If you're on the fence, I'd go ahead and get it. Nothing can beat 4 player coop creator and up to 8 player multiplayer. Awesome!

I'm having a blast with this. I've been messing around with paths and getting bots to do crazy things. I just found the sounds too.....oh yeah.

I was also able to crash the program. Nice. Wasn't repeatable though.

If anyone can figure out how to create a party for cooperatively creating games, I would be ultra appreciative. We tried to do it last night, and we weren't able to do anything more than share creations with eachother in a lobby.

Edit: I looked at Co-optimus.com and it doesn't look like they made that feature. Supposedly, you can make levels playable with other people, but I don't even see how to do that.

I grabbed the demo last night but didn't have a chance to play with it. I want to let my son loose on it. He made some crazy levels on LBP so I want to see what he can do with this thing.

They may be applying a liberal meaning to "cooperatively." I was able to download and edit the map you started. Technically, we could cooperatively work on the game, just not at the same time!

I bought it last night as Microsoft gave me 500 points for some Braid mixup a while back. Anyway, I haven't really messed around with it too much other than trying to do some coop stuff last night. I'm going to play around with it more tonight and see what I can come up. Looked like a lot of fun from what I did mess around with, even though it looks to have a somewhat overwhelming palatte of options. Not a bad thing though.

Hey fellow Kodu freaks. I just created a dedicated forum for PGL members to discuss and share Kodu kode, tricks, tips, etc.

I'm gonna move this thread over there too.

I was able to co-op on the same console. Not sure if it's something that is doable online. If not, I hope they can add that option in a later update. A dedicated server for sharing games would be great too. Because, honestly, only sharing amongst Friends is pretty limited if they really want a large community to develop around this.
