Also to follow up on the sponsored local events, our thoughts were for someone to host a party at their house complete with games or whatnot and for PGL to kick in some cash to cover the cost of the game being played, or some beer or some food or whatnot, with the understanding that the party will be documented thru photos/video or whatnot and posted up for all of us to enjoy. Something like that perhaps.

All great ideas, but I'd put the "new member drive" last. I love the PGL hosted events and loaner program though! Damn, if it had only been a couple of months ago, I had over 2,000 games on hand...

Do we have or will we be creating a specific forum for PGL gettogethers? We already have plenty of past events to populate it with!

Hey, if you can do that, and add a PGL "fetch me more potato chips" butler that would rock!

I'm just thinking of things like the 20 second search rule for example (if spammers are the worry, how about lowering it after a certain number of posts), and the forums in general are a bit jumbled in my opinion, that's all. Everything else is coolio.

But yeah, the chips thing would rock...

Sweet Thornes, thanks for the ideas. There are plenty of things we can tweak here and there to make things more our own. I think the 20 second search rule is to lessen the slam on our server from constant searches. I will check with Dmiller and see if we can lower it and see how it affects the rest of the speed of our site.

Butlers rule. That's an awesome idea.

Geoff - that's a good idea I think. Hit me up on IM this week and let's see if we can flesh out whether to put it in a subforum or a separate forum of its own. I want to get rid of a few forums too and move some stuff around, but have held off during the "let's hire someone to rework the site" phase.
