For those of you not "in the know," we have a calendar here at PreGameLobby. I know, crazy huh? There's a link to it in between "staff" and "new posts" in the quick-links bar at the top of the site. Most of us use it to figure out when to post a happy birthday thread congratulating a fellow PGL member on being around yet another year here on Earth. But Quo knew that a calendar could be useful for so much more!

Quo had the brilliant idea of making it easier for us to track when we would all be poor based on upcoming game releases by publishing a game release calendar. Yes, it is Quo's fault we are all going to be poor after buying all of the awesome games coming out (or having already been released).

But Quo knew it would be difficult to t handle this monumental task on his own. As he worked feverishly on creating the calendar and updating it with upcoming releases and PGL events, Dmiller created a static page for the calendar on PGL. While Quo watched in awe as Dmiller created a dedicated page for his calendar, a snake charmer passed through Quo's village. The snake charmer had one very interesting snake that he called 1399. It was an odd name and Quo was intrigued. After seeing 1399 perform, Quo knew he had to have him and offered the snake charmer a box of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a few extra buttons off of his shirt for 1399. Who could resist? Snake1399 was (re)born.

Quo trained Snake on how the calendar functioned and Snake took to updating the entries like a... uh, trained snake. Yeah, trained snake. So with Quo's idea, Dmiller's mad web skillz and Snake's updating capabilities, the PGL Gaming Calendar was born.

For now we have upcoming major title releases as well as certain PGL events listed. This may or may not change as we grow and perhaps learn to use the calendar in a variety of new manners. Check it out and enjoy!

This site has been a good resource for the store. Everything on one monthly list! You guys could populate our calendar from this list, if you so choose.

Thanks for the link, and yeah, I use VGReleases and alot of the info for our calendar comes from that. We probably won't put every single release on our calendar, simply because it gets messy really fast -- plus keeping track of all those games would mean a lot of errors and upkeep for us, and maintaining it isn't something we're wanting to do 40 hours a week. We're choosing to concentrate on games that are of interest to the PGL Community. That's mostly the multiplayer games that we're likely to play together, as well as the blockbuster SP games.

With that in mind, if there's something anyone wants to see on there to pump up interest for a specific game, shout out to me (Quo), Snake or Supa. We'll try to get it on there for ya. Snake's probably the quickest option there, he's gonna be running this baby.

Same way with events. If you've got something you want pumped as a specific PGL event, shout out and we'll get it on there.

nice resource, it will make choosing which game to buy when a lot easier.

I've updated the calendar to show the bigger names coming out in January, February and March. I'll add more as i find them, but feel free to throw me out a game release/date and i'll add it

op, spoke to soon. Looks like the 3rd is the release date for the PC version of Alan Wake. Like anyones gonna buy that......

The calendar has been updated thru about the 3rd week of June, not a ton coming out, but some interesting titles nonetheless...

I forgot about that thing.

At first I thought this idea wasn't needed since we can all hit up a few other sites to find out game releases... but the idea of doing games that interest PGL is good. Waitaminute - who is deciding this "in the interest of PGL?"

But then again, I'm a follower. A top 10 a month or so seems like a good idea. Anything more than that just seems like overkill.

Partially due to the lack of games over the summer and partially due to the fact that i've been slacking, the Game Release Calendar has been updated for September and beyond. Some games don't have actual dates yet so they may not be listed, but i will update it as set dates are confirmed

We started putting more releases on the show also, so that Brew can be up to date on Dancing Ponies 5: Just Stepped In It!
