Thread: TW Tour Event #2: Beaches, Bikinis, and Golf Balls

Welcome to the The PGL/LAG TW Tour's Week Two Event, the Beach, Bikinis, and Golf Balls Open, held at two of the greatest golf courses in the world - Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines. Our weekly sponsor, Ron Jon, has agreed to put up a total purse of $100,000 per player. Payouts and handicaps will be according to tour rules. This is a two round, private event in which competitors will meet and play with other tour members, then report their scores. Handicaps will be applied and winners will be announced on Monday, July 6th.

The following are the course settings:

Round One: Pebble Beach
Fairway Speed: Slow
Green Speed: Average
Rough length: Medium
Pins: Medium
Weather: Sunny & Clear
Wind: Breezy
All players difficulty set to Tour Pro.
Tees: Black

Round Two: Torrey Pines
Fairway Speed: Very Fast
Green Speed: Very Fast
Rough length: Long
Pins: Expert
Weather: Sunny & Clear
Winds: Breezy
All players difficulty set to Tour Pro.
Tees: White

The first round on Pebble Beach will reward the well balanced player. Both length and accuracy will be needed to achieve a solid round.

The second round at Torrey Pines will bring quite different. Small fairways surrounded by long rough will put a premium on accuracy. Using the White tees will create a lot of risk and reward shots along the course.

Let's everyone get out and get their rounds in. Remember, if you have not yet posted 4 scores, you play this week as a "declared" handicap. See the rules for questions. Good luck everyone!

Feel free to arrange tee times, etc in this thread. Remember, you can play in twosomes, threesomes or foursomes, but you MUST play with another tour member online. We will also use this thread to post scores. Thanks guys! You have until Monday morning at 7 AM EST to post your scores.

Edit: Lets try and get as many people as possible on Thursday night at 10:15 Eastern and see if we can get a few foursomes together and do a big party chat while playing.

I am canceling our tee time due to in-laws coming this evening. I am moving it to Thursday at 10:15.

I can probably do a 10:15 EST on Thursday. Or if we have enough, I'll run a second group.

I just edited my first post, it sounds like 10:15 eastern on Thursday seems like a good time, so lets try and get as many people playing then as possible. If another group sometime needs a marker, I can jump on, but lets see if we can get 2 4-somes and have a big party chat.

Sorry I missed you guys. For some reason I've been falling asleep around 8pm and waking up around 3am or 4am for the past few days. I have no idea why. Maybe its just the 100 degree weather we have been having. The drive home with the sun in my face wipes me out I guess.
