Thread: Why I hate people

The people that did this should be raped in the face and then fockin killed. To quote a friend on this- "In the name of art some piece of shit let a dog starve to death over time in a studio so people could view it as "art". Mother ****ers would actually come in to see it as it slowly and painfully died. Then everyone wonders why I'm full of hate...Here is the link...check it out if ya got the balls."

When I first saw this, I flew off the handle. I have very little moral fiber, only 3 thing offend me. Animal Cruelty is tops on that list. I hope that artist falls into an abandoned well and has to sit at the bottom and starve to death for days.

Unfortunately, if that happened, I'd be tempted to lean my ass over the well and shit on him, and that might give him sustinence for a few days.

Its a shame what people would do, watchiing a dog die from dehydration/starvation is in no sense art. If they think the dogs expression or the way it crys is art then just spank it a little for the same effect. I never had a pet (with FUR) cause my mom was Allergic, so i used to Volunteer for a place called Furry Friends Rescue and petsmart every weekend to help adoption just so i could enjoy and help animals. Then my 2nd job was working for a Mobile vacination clinic called Luv My Pet, and i told owners what shots their pets needed.

So for a guy like me this is pretty sickening, and this is just a publicly known story. Try not to think about it BREW, cause there is a lot more than just this.

What the F! What and why? Nevermind I don't want to know.

I'm not into animal cruelty at all. I went to check out the link, and it wasn't in English. I have no idea what language it was; it wasn't Spanish, German, or one of the Tagalog languages either.

It just keeps getting worse!

Chaining up a dog and forcing it to go without food and water in the name of art is a surefire way of making yourself unpopular with animal lovers. The furore created by Damien Hirst's pickled sheep and Tracey Emin's dirty bed pales into insignificance against the international outrage Guillermo 'Habacuc' Vargas has unleashed.

The Costa Rican has been called an animal abuser, killer and worse over claims that a stray dog called Natividad died of starvation after he displayed it at an exhibition last year at the Códice Gallery in Managua, Nicaragua. Vargas tethered the animal without food and water under the words 'Eres Lo Que Lees' - 'You Are What You Read' - made out of dog biscuits while he played the Sandinista anthem backwards and set 175 pieces of crack cocaine alight in a massive incense burner. More than a million people have signed an online petition urging organisers of this year's event to stop Vargas taking part.

Vargas, 32, said he wanted to test the public's reaction, and insisted none of the exhibition visitors intervened to stop the animal's suffering. He refused to say whether the animal had survived the show, but said he had received dozens of death threats.

Juanita Bermúdez, director of the Códice Gallery, insisted Natividad escaped after just one day. She said: 'It was untied all the time except for the three hours the exhibition lasted and it was fed regularly with dog food Habacuc himself brought in.'

btw- brew, im with you 100% i absolutely hate animal abuse. dogs are my least favorite of popular household pets, but this sickens me to no end. if it would have been a cat, i would be huntin a mofo down!

I didn't have the balls to even click on it. I have personally stolen other people's pets when they were being abused and have been in some pretty serious altercations with animal abusers. I hate people for the most part, but animal cruelty is at the top of my list when it comes to why I would ever wish pain upon another human being.

For this one - I hope one of them deaththreats follow through.

that video wasnt about that art show article, it was just about animal treatment in general, it talked about animals as pets and animals for food, which, btw, ever since ive watched that im looking for a local meat market so i know more about the meat that im buying, oh and im not buying anything leather anymore if its made in india, the video was VERY eye opening for me and even tho i teared up more times than id like to admit and a lot of it was very disgusting, i think everybody should watch it

I'm with you cuse. I started to click it, and then changed my mind. Pics were bad enough.

All I can do when I see mistreatment of animals or a dead dog lying on the side of the road (always makes me sad), is go home and give my dog a little extra attention. Taking really good care of a pet is truly underrated in this world. My dad and I got sisters from a litter of blue heeler pups. Out of five, he and I have the only two left that are still alive. All of them lived through their young pup stage, and only my dad and mine are what's left in less than two years (she'll be 2 in June). Needless to say, neither of us take caring for our dogs lightly.

There is a special place in hell for people that hurt children, animals or anyone else that can't defend themselves. I am a firm believer in vigilante justice in cases like this.

Some people are honestly sick and have no control over violent and cruel urges, but they should still be put down like a rabid animal. Everyone should look for a local animal shelter (the no kill type) and go donate some food or a few bucks to help purge this link from their memory banks.

I have to say I could not bear to see the video or pics, my wife works at a canine rescue here in Chicago, so dogs are a big part of our life recently. We don't need this douche bag telling us we mistreat animals, thousands of animals are neglected daily. Also, to put this nonsense under the category of art frustrates me. This is not art, this is stupidity. You want to raise awareness? Volunteer your time at an animal rescue or, heaven forbid a homeless shelter. Those people make an impression on me, not this tool. Wow, just wow.

Well, Im actually in the middle of the video, But right now im eating a Burger and i had to pause it. As i read more and more of your posts i was thinking to myself that it seems that this "Artist's" "ART" had an affect on most of you. The only thing is the effect was the same message every person in here got, (that the artist is cruel inhumane bastard.)

Brew wants to run off with the dog, But what would you have done with the dog, Keep it (You have many), give it to a shelter (With 10% adoption rate, Its sick, not socialized, ETC...). It would have died either way, (this way looks worse because it was tied up and a human played a roll in it) Everybody wants to kill the Artist ( Id just rob and bankrupt him entirely and tie him to a poll) but what would of happened to this dog even if this "Artist" left it to be. It probably would of died on the streets in the same way or hit by a car or put to sleep or like the video said GAS CHAMBERED cause putting pets to sleep is getting expensive (They keep those for the PETS, Strays are Gased)

This "Artist" had to have a reason to do this, (Moral to the story) and not because he is inhumane or cruel, because to have it up as art he must have known it would diminish and hurt his image and reputation. So my thoughts were pretty much confirmed when Loudogg talked about Awareness, which this article has brought a lot of. Namehater watched a video and is know aware of the Meat he buys, which he could now be buying Healthy cow meat instead of old, sick, hormone injected meat.

Im far from defending the Artist, but somewhere in your mixed emotions toward the artist and for the dog; Confusion, Aggresion, sadness, bewilderment...you have to be thinks happens EVERYDAY and we dont get anything from those incidents, Show us the truth and we get mad but try to do something about it, dont show us but we know its happening and as long as we dont see it MOST of us wont do anything about it.

Half, Most, or All of you probably wont understand anything im trying to get across (Like whats ****ing new) and will be mad at me, (prolly send death threats) and spam my Xboxlive account, but im just trying to make sense of why the Artist did this, and what did he want the viewers to get out of this. Either way this is what im getting out of it so far...Just remember im a HUGE animal lover especially since i cant own one (not at the moment anyway).

Plus my brothers cat (the one i favored cause i took care of him) hasn't come back in more than 10 days, so ive been down...damn i loved that cat.

Nothin raises more awareness than controversy

If he did this for Art, as in its a beautiful picture (i can barely explain what regular art is for, To make people think of some happy place or reminds them of a special moment in time..) then im down to grab pitch forks and a Noose, but im having trouble figuring out why a person (who is into art which means they have Emotion) would do this.
