Hey Justiintime. I didn't realize you were a PGLer when you were in our party the other night.
Here are some other vids that are definitely worth watching (off-screen but the quality is not bad). Among other things, it shows off grenade mining, executions, destructible/mobile cover, and the flamethrower.

Wiltron, I loved the .Gif from Rocky man, shows our Excitement perfectly.

Those vids work for me sometimes and not others. Kinda flaky. Worth it if you can run them though. I'm sure they'll get reposted somewhere else eventually.

It sounds like they're doing a good job removing the ridiculous, and in my opinion fun-killing exploits that the first Gears had. The attrociously bad party system, the host advantage, and the temporary god mode seem like they're getting the boot. I loved Gears, and November 6th was one of my favorite game days, but man, the MP was infuriating at times.

When I first played Gears, I didnt get into it. I sold it back to the game store. Since I picked it up again, I am having a blast. I cant wait for 2.

HD versions of some of the same movies. It's freakin' beautiful. Worth watching again.

This looks like a kick in the pants... Body shields for the win.
Looks like a few new features have been revealed:

Along with an epic (pardon the pun) multi-player match between Cliffy B's team and the GearHeads crew, in-depth discussions reveal:
- How Gears 2 feels compared to the original.
- No active downs with the sniper
- The Locust shield can be used to decapitate opponents.
- You can now get headshots with the Torque Bow. The bow will actually decapitate the head and stick it to the nearest wall until it explodes.
- Boomshot now spawns with 4 rockets and you can fire two shots simultaneously after a successful active reload.
- Melee attacks no longer stun players.

I think you'll both see enough of mine that you won't be disappointed. I like the idea of a 4 shot boom, if I can get there before Stewii (unlikely).
