Be a part of The Invasion!

If the responses we've received so far to this week's poll are any indication, most of you are tired of the asshats and other undesirables who have infiltrated Xbox Live. Now is the time to do something about it.

We've all found great people to game with here at PGL, over at LAG and at other community websites. Thanks to the Microsoft MVP program we have a built in network of cool communities. Quite a few MVPs have gotten together and will be staging The Invasion as a regular event. This month's will feature Left 4 Dead 2 and will take place on December 27, 2009, between 5 PM and 8 PM PST.

The Invasion is an event where gamers who know what gaming is about and simply want to have fun can all get together and have fun gaming. There will be loads of different rooms to hop in and out to meet other cool gamers and have a few hours of gaming fun without having to instantly mute everyone in the room.

Keep your eyes peeled here for more information as it develops but save the 12/27/09 date on your calendar for some gaming fun!

I hope it goes well. I just see the potential to be ruin by the general public. Just too hard to weed out the bad seeds. Heck, I'm still on the PGL. Ha ha ha...suckas!!!!!!!!

This isn't the first time the event has been run. The last time it took place it was a huge success. I'm sure it will be again!

Nice Peench! Some games like L4D2 allow you to hook up with people in a lobby before the GP can get involved. I wont be able to participate since most of these things happen on weekends so good luck PGLers.

A reminder on the event details

December 27th.
5PM - 8PM PST / 8PM - 11PM CST
The game is Left 4 Dead 2


There will be quite a few hosts and others involved so we can all jump in and out between different games and rooms. The whole idea is to get different people gaming with different communities so we can all make more gaming friends.

To do this we need as much participation as possible. I would like to see 5-10 members here from PGL volunteer to host rooms for the event. Who here is interested in hosting? Please post your names here so I can pass them on. Thanks!

I will be available for this, but I think the L4D2 crowd is limited on PGL.

Ah crap. I just noticed how early the event is. No go for me.

I'd be happy to hang out and play in a room, Peench... but it's unusual for me to be on that early with a game like L4D... I doubt I could make it before 9-9:30 EST.

We need some more volunteers! Who else owns L4D2?

I'd love to volunteer, but I recently found out I'm going in for a surgical procedure on that day. Nothing serious, but I might be pretty doped up and/or comatose that evening. That being said I'd love to host.

Man I wish I could host one up. Damn it. I'm still waiting to get a good game of L4D2 in with some peeps at least to justify my purchasing of this game.
This should be an awesome event and should give those like me a chance to play a really fun game with a crowd of decent people.
