Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Ohio | There is absolutely no reason to drop the price right now. They would have IF the PS3 was priced lower. The 500.00 PS3s will be as rare as a working 360 in Jon Luis home, so you have the wii @ 250, 360 Premium @ 400.00 and PS3 @ 600.00.
MS is actually doing very well in their gaming division. Losses have dropped from half a billion to less than 100 milliona quarter. Thats awesome for only a year after launch. They'll be making a profit soon and thats reason 2 they wont lower it now. They come in cheaper at retail and the longer they hold the current prices, the sooner they can turn a profit.
If sony had 4 million consoles ready to go, it might be a different story. But less than 480,000 total? Easy sailing thru the holidays.
Let it be known that in 2002, 2003, and 2004, Xbox outsold PS2 during the months of November and December. MS has always done very well during the Holidays.
This time next year, Halo 3 will be the talk of the world. Theres not a thing anyone can do to stop that frenzy. Maybe a price drop from MS? | |

I baught my second 360 two or three months ago for £217 online and now its gone up to £275 (Its on pricegrabber where i got the comparisons the first time. One day mobile was cheapest and its gone up to £280. | |

Nice.
And, of course, had to order the HD-DVD drive today. | |
