I'm interested to see how some of the online stuff works regarding unlockable characters. Outside of the original cast, I've gotten DareDevil, Blade, Dr. Stange, Ghost Rider, Black Panther, and Silver Surfer (via the code).
Just a heads up, you can use the codes to unlock DareDevil and Silver Surfer but the other cheats disable achievements.

Plus if you love comics (which I do) you will be in heaven b/c there are so many hidden goodies and fun stuff. Especially crafting some pretty crazy teams. Last night I played one level w/my X-men affiliates: Collosus, Iceman, Storm and Deadpool (DEADPOOL! How great!?!). Then I made an Avenger's B team: Warbird (or Ms. Marvel for those of us born before 1980), Luke Cage, Ironman and Spiderwoman (who is suprisingly awsome in

| Looks fun. The only game my wife ever played with me on a console was Gauntlet. She liked it b/c it was a simple button masher and she could steal my gold and health! If this is anything along the same lines and we can play cooperatively on the same screen (has anyone tried that yet?) like in Gauntlet, I might pick it up and see if she wants to play. Thanks for the info! | |

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Dirty Jersey | So funny Peench b/c I told my wife last night that she should play w/me b/c it is a pretty easy game. I kept telling her "you could be Collosus" (b/c I thought she liked Collosus), but she would respond w/"maybe I don't wanna be Collosus.." In any case, this is a definite husband/wife game.
Plus the "potion grabbing" is mostly in the form of SHIELD coins, which copiously spill out of generic smashed metal objects and what not, and can be traded for new costumes & powers.
The basic button controls are green & red to hit, yellow to jump, blue to grab (pull right trigger w/buttons to activate powers) and left bumper to block. Then there are team commands, but on co-op they don't apply.

| Very interesting. I'll have to see if she's interested. Thanks for the heads up.
Do all characters play onscreen at the same time like in Gauntlet? Or is it a split screen deal?

I finished off the game last night. I've nearly maxed out Ghost Rider's costumes. I typically use Super Naturals (Blade, Ghost Rider, Thor, and Dr. Strange), Avengers (Spider Woman, Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor) or New Fantastic Four (Cage, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, Spider-man)
My biggest complaint, though, is its not really like 40+ characters as much as its 25+ characters with alternate costumes (Like Captain America has a US Agent outfit).

That sounds EXACTLY like something my wife would say. It's hilarious. Almost like "Even if I have no idea what's going on, you're not gonna tell ME what to do!"
Wait a minute... we're not sharing a wife are we?!?!?

Has anyone compared the 360 version with the original xbox version?

I have not compared the 360 to the regular Box version, but there are different characters available on each version. I know that specifically w/PS2 and 360 there is a difference in Collosus being available at the start for 360, but not for PS2. He might be an unlockable.
All-in-all, the 360 version has better graphics and probably smoother gameplay - not to mention achievements (which we all know and love!)

Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Lake Chuck Age: 25 | Four players can play locally, however, you can't play two players locally with two players over XBox Live (or any variation).
The biggest edges over the XBox version are the graphics and the addition of the comic book missions. The xbox version has cel shaded graphics while the 360 has realistic looking ones.
There are also a few Next-Gen versions (Wii, 360, and PS3) have Moon Knight and Colossus as extra characters.
