Yes, indeed it does. I don't need the HDMI, right now, though. But, getting an HDMI unit ensured I'd have what seems to be the latest and greatest.

Cool beans. Yeah, I also have the BB 2 year replacement plan and I'm considering swapping my current unit for a unit that also has the greatest and latest right before the BB replacement warranty is up which is about in a year from now.

don't know. I know the premium system will turn into the elite system. Has anyone bought the premium system recently to know if M$ has started putting in the HDMI output yet in that SKU. I think right now, the only system with the HDMI is the Elite or Halo edition.

They replace the manufacture date with the current refurb date. Look behind the faceplate at the silver MS label. Black marker dots or lines before and after 'Microsoft' indicates a refurb.

I have a new Premium with a date of 8-9-07 and it has the HDMI. As does Zoom. The HDMI units began hitting in late July. Check that sticker.

Looks like my first one just died, BOD 9-28-05. Taken out originally by Mass Effect a week ago. It came back for a few days until I got another RROD. Then came back AGAIN for 4 or 5 days and now has a permanent RROD.

I was thinking about picking up a new unit anyways, so I just got a new pro system (its downloading now). Have not called MS yet, I'll wait until daytime (I hate calling the Phillipines) to do that to get a coffin sent. When it comes back I'll put it on my main entertainment center and use it for arcade games and media center extender.
