Just got my box back today. Refurb unit,& 1 month live card & apology letter. I think they have a lot of units going in & out. My UPS guy asked what was in the box cause he's been seeing a lot of them , that dosen't sound good. Plus they took about 5 days just to send me a refurb not fix mine. Refurb unit has a born date of 11-5-05 but I guess the resurection date is about 6-10-07 probably, anyway that's when we'll celebrate it's birthday if it makes it.

I just got a notice from UPS saying my package is ready to pick up. I can only imagine that it will be my refurbished 360. Now what to do with my used GameStop 360....tempted to shoot it full of holes, but I've been in the market for a PSP and DS so maybe I'll trade it for those plus a little extra. Any recomendations for PSP applications/games? How about DS stuff?

For the record, my POS 360 was Born 11-14-2005, Deceased 06-30-2007. Its been on life support for 3 days now, but thankfully, the xbox support person worked his magic and the red lights shined tonight. So now I get to pay MS to fix their defective product. Isn't life wonderful? I cant wait for this crappy month to be over.

Ok, I added my new box to the list 11/18/06. It seems to work well and seems a touch quiter.

Yeah, I'll add my big fat red FAIL to the list. Tonight I was greeted with the beautiful red ring as I went to play some Forza. Nice. This is the first console that I have ever had that actually died on me. If I'm lucky, I'll have a DRM screwed 360 in time for Halo 3. Maybe.

I received the coffin today and dropped it off with UPS an hr after the box arrived. So it is on it's way for repairs. Has anyone else gotten an already used tracking # with their return label? I just put the tracking # in just for fun and I got back tracking results from March - April of 07. WTH? UPS's system better update with my info. I want to track that baby all the way down to Texas.

11/25/05 is my Box's B-Day. Still running smoothly, although it has started to not read disks. But I think the lens might be dirty, anyone know the best way to clean it?

Now I get to wait another month for another POS that will have me back in this thread another 2 wks after I get it back. Sweet.
