Ya the new one is pretty nice, seems a little quieter, but not much. Now if I can get my downloaded content straightened out, my other profiles cant share any of the DLC now

Hey NIN, did they test out the defective one you brought in? My warranty is almost up and I'm thinking of, um, "having a defective console..."

It won't happen, unfortunately. I would though create a new profile silver account on your new 360 and download ALL content from that one. If you do that, all the profiles on your new 360 will be able to share any content you download from here on out. It sucks, but that's the only way to accomplish this right now.

Nope they did'nt seem to concerned about it at all. They just swapped out whatever I gave them, power supply, av cables, etc.. I was surprised they didn't even check it out

Wouldn't I have to re-purchase them though on the new silver account. After scouring the internet for info on this issue it seems there are a few people who have made a silver account and were credited the MS point to d/l the affected content. I dunno either way it kind blows.

Yeah, your old content, if you want to share it with the other profiles, would have to be repurchased. It really does BLOW, and I called MS after it happened and I got nowhere with the LIVE person, who sounded really young, so I didn't have the patience for it then.
But, all the stuff I download now is from a seperate silver profile, which they suggested in the first place. Dangerkitty still can't play Bejeweled, Zuma, or Jewel Quest - but with Viva Pinata being released, she'll survive.

Well that really blows! How is a silver account going to help you, if it dies again you'll be stuck with the same problem. Nothing like paying for Zuma 3 times over. I am surprised this is the "fix" they tell people, yeah I'll just go get another 10,000 MP points ready to burn. I also called them today to see if I could be credited the points but they did'nt seem to understand the problem. They just did the broken record about the "usage restrictions" blah, blah, blah.

Well, I turned in my 360 today at EB for a new one. I mentioned the "E74" error and they're like, "Oh, gotcha. Here's your new one." That quick. I even got the extended warranty on the new one, so I'm good for another year.
My born on date as of now: 8/25/06
Now I actually have to go and open it. They were nice enough to swap out my hard drive.

Hey guys, when I get the time, do you mind if I alphabatize the list? I'm looking at it and it's messy.

I'll try to keep them chronological too.

Damn... I guess that's what I get for not reading and getting ahead of myself. I'll change it back to chronological if you guys want.
I thought I was doing a good deed...
