TF:2's first review... 9/10

Eurogamer just released the first review of Team Fortress 2, and they appear to have been very pleased.

It's not a review of the console version... the PC version is currently in beta and is looking great, and the review is based on that. I should note that the review doesn't appear to really outline any weaknesses... that always bothers me in a review. If the game was perfect, why is it a 9?

The review goes on and on about clever character class balancing and fast, adaptive gameplay.

I personally can't wait to see this one. This fall is gonna be awesome for FPS's.

I can't wait fo this one, mostly becuase it looks like it will be a total hoot to play.

Yeah, it looks like fun. The review makes it sound like the gameplay is extremely fast, but the maps are created in a way that will help you know where to go right off the bat. It hints that there are actually signs pointing you in directions...

One thing the reviewer mentions that I also think is cool is the visibility factor. The way the graphics are, every character is easily identifiable at a distance. Instead of characters blending into the backgrounds, they tend to stand out (except for the spy, of course)... so everything is easier to see, which should level the playing field a little bit.
