I got a chance to play this game a few months back at Hudson Entertainment when I attended the Bomberman Live event. The game is old school side-scroller with some great new graphics. When we played the gameplay was tough, tough, tough! Rhino and I tried a few of the different characters (3 of them at the time) and had a blast. The character models and environments were beautiful!! Here's the official release info:
REDWOOD SHORES, CA - September 12, 2007 - Leading video game publisher Hudson Entertainment has partnered with Natsume to bring gamers an all-new IP titled Omega Five for the Xbox LIVE(R) network. Omega Five is a graphically intense, side-scrolling shooter set in a three-dimensional environment, and features some truly hardcore action never before seen on the platform. About Omega Five: Omega Five is an all-new, original IP for Xbox LIVE® Arcade, with production values that rival those of a retail product. It is the continuation Hudson’s three-part commitment to bringing premier content to download services for consoles: classic IP, original IP, and licensed IP.
The gameplay follows the tradition of past side-scrolling shooters: as the screen scrolls from right to left, you move your character in two dimensions, either shooting or dodging enemies and their attacks. As you proceed, you can collect both weapon upgrades for your normal attacks and “chips” to power-up your special attacks.
