Cory B has been blessed with the code and the task of writing a review, and has promised that it will make grown men weep.
I second Wonder's note of thanks! VidGuy - as usual - is the man.

I'm not sure about the review making grown men weep, but I expect that Lumines Live! will - happy tears of course. Know that my expectations for this title are very high as the PSP Lumines is one of my favorite puzzle games of all time, nestled just above Hexic HD and Bejeweled 2 and right below the original Tetris and Dr. Mario.

Not only that, but I have hopes of getting the girlfriend hooked on this game.

And like Monkey said, please do share your thoughts on the game with those of us stuck at work and unable to download at the present.

if only live was working properly... I'd download it right now... still get an error in almost every menu of the live marketplace right now.

I received the same as I was attempting to download it a few hours ago before coming in to the office. Hopefully they have that remedied before I get home from work, although I may not be able to download it until late this evening because I'm meeting up with people to watch Game 6 of the NLCS. Either way, I'm looking forward to Lumines Live! and to introducing my gf to it.

I wanted this, then I was going to hold out because of the price but I have passed on all the recent classic arcade releases and hold 'em was free so I may have to bite......

I love this on PSP.

yeah, the pricepoint sucks but, with the amount I played it on PSP, I can only imagine that it'll be worth it for me!

well I got it and I played it! Had to do a little adjusting to the controller of the 360 from the PSP took a few minutes but, everything else is great!! I wish there was a way to have the Left and Right triggers to rotate the blocks..

Other than that..

I love this game!

I ended up getting it.

I hopped on earlier, when Live was being weird, and started to download the trial. Then, against my judgement, I went to add more points. It gave me an error message. So I tried again. Again, error message.

I ended turning it off and getting some lunch, realizing I had proof I wasn't supposed to get it.

I hop on later and I've got 1000 points added to my account. So I just went ahead and bought it.

lol! Well, I spent a little more time with it and, yep... it's definitely as addicting as it was on the PSP!

I played it for a little while and realized while I love this game, I completely and utterly SUCK at it. I still play it though.

Then I bitch and moan, Danger walks in, grabs the controller and scores 189K and walks out. I'm pathetic.

That happened to me. I was completely lost scrambling around for a while. Then, when I learned how to do it...it was doing better.

I picked up the Advance Pack today as well. The 22 new skins aren't available from the start, you have to earn them in Advance Challenge Mode.

Despite being Advance, I did much better on that mode.

Based on what gamerscoreblog.com claims, no new packs are scheduled till 2007 but there's three in the pipeline.

Artist Pack
Mission/Puzzle Pack
VS CPU Mode Pack

I think it helps to be an idiot savant in this game. That's why my wife is so good at it.

do you call her that to her face?

I always figure myself to be an idiot savant just because my family always told me I sucked at a lot of stuff but, I knew I excelled at other things!

"Oh boy! Sleep! That's where I'm a Viking!!!"
