Smile My baby is coming home.

I just got notice that my 360 is on it's way home. I shipped it to repair on 7/12 and they are shipping it back today, 7/27. Not a bad turn around. Hopefully, I get my same box back. Oh please, let it be the same serial. I don't want to have to deal with the DRM issues with the Live content/games.

Cujo, any word on your's?

AZ, hopefully the wait for your's wont be the full 6 wks.

Well, upon checking the service center repair status at Xbox.com. I noticed that my serial number has been changed. Damn it. So much for them making an effort to send back original boxes. Maybe it was beyond repair. Who knows. At least send out brand new units. I don't like the thought of getting back a unit that someone may have had 3 stinky dogs sleeping on or had spilled Kool Aid in while tea baggin' in Halo. I know I took care of my 360. Although, the last 2 digits are now 07 where my old 360 was 05. Year perhaps? Let's hope it's a new one. Maybe Peench put a good MVP word in for me.

Well at least you'll be back to gamin' with us soon enough! Hopefully UPS doesn't screw up!

That's another part of the process I always worried about... First off, how long it'll take for microsoft to fix/replace each box, then how long it would take for UPS to actually pick up the box. I remember there were probably 2 occasions where my box was ready to be picked up, it was all up to UPS to simply pick it up and it took 3 or 4 days.

They email you, but it's usually a bit after it actually ships.

Crip mentioned being able to tell his serial number, so believe that boy has a website where they showed the serial number they shipped back, unless that was also in the email.

You can also call MS support and they will usually give you the tracking number.

Just finished a call with a terrorist support specialist and she informed me it is in UPS hands and is scheduled for delivery here on Aug 1st. We shall see.
