Assassin's Creed video from MS Press Conference

I had a chance to see this title up close and personal and get some play time in while at E3. I am REALLY excited about this one as well. The flexibility of the free run and the graphics and motion of the character are all awesome. I believe there's a funky glitch in this one where a character floats, but hey, that's why it isn't released yet!

Overall a great looking game some rough edges at this point. It is a good thing they haven't released it yet. Watching the video I noticed a lot of pop/texture swaps, etc. Like when he gets out fo the hay bin and walks toward the tree. Granted not as bad as ES:IV but still noticeable.

Collison with the 2nd PotHead girl was kind of odd as it didn't even look like he hit her, in fact he didn't firs one either but the 2nd one was pretty bad IMO. The ones after should have dropped at the same distance of collision but they didn't, kind of weird. Combat also is something I'm not sure of, looks like it needs a bit of refinement. Canned animations for the kills look very good.

Absolutely love how he can run about the city like when he chases the guy. Love being able to go on top of any building, etc!

The combat system was pretty cool. There are different animations based on whether you are doing a stealth kill or fighting with someone who knows you are there. Timing is key and you can block and counter, etc. for some awesome animations.

The free running thing is awesome - simply hold down the button and run around. The animations are all pretty fluid and you can run around all over the place.

i think the game looks really good and all but reminds me of the prince of persia series mixed with thief from the pc, i like the stealth aspect of it, but i dont like the combat really, ill rent it for sure, own it, doubtful, would be cool to see some form of co-op on it tho

this game just get cooler the more I see on it. I think Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Sean Penn) said it best, "Totally Awesome!!!!"
