HD -DVD 360 question

Will the HD DVD add on for the 360 do anything to improve the look of the games, or it is just for movies?

I don't used my gaming consoles for watching movies so if this add on is just for the movie part of the 360 I can save some $$$$$.
Thanks.

Currently, I don't believe Microsoft is supporting game content on HD media discs, so basically, no, it will not be used for gaming at all.

However, if you decide to purchase it anyway, you get a free copy of King Kong on HDDVD.

I don't think it'll even play games, will it? It's just an add-on player.

I wonder if later down the line they will incorporate it for games.... unlikely... but, oh well!

Speaking of which.. if you could play just regular games on there.. I'd use that as an alternative to the freakin' jet engine of a drive that comes standard in every xbox 360!

Wouldn't it still spin fast for game DVDs?

yeah but, I have many computer DVD drives and none of them sound as loud and as annoying as the 360 drives I've had.
