Didn't MS say they were going to open up the microtransaction thingy to end users or normal people? There has to be some kind of legal loophole from EA's grip on the NFL.

Hell I'd gladly take a 2k generic football game over Madden. I like the Madden game this year, but it's still lacking features that we have in NFL 2k5. EA just doesn't seem to care. Just use the same cities and give the teams and stadiums different names. I don't know why they have not done this.
About the legal stuff. I was under the impression that having a monopoly was illegal. In my town we only had one cable provider and it was delcared by the courts to be a monopoly ,and they allowed other companies to start providing cable services as well. Why can't this be done in the video game football situation?
