Half-Life 2, as well as all its mods, makes use of the Source engine, which is being optimized to run on the Xbox 360 and its multi-core hardware. At the show, Half-Life 2 and Portal were running at high resolution with no frame rates issues, although anti-aliasing and other graphical effects were turned off.
Valve was quick to highlight that the final version of the game will have all these missing effects, including High Dynamic Range lighting, soft shadowing effects and the new particle system. Since all the games included in this combo run on the Source engine, they automatically inherit all the tweaks Valve makes for the Xbox 360 version of the Source engine.
Our meeting with Valve rapidly came to an end but we were happy to see Half-Life 2 and Portal up and running on the Xbox 360.
| It better run daaaamn good seeing as how well the Xbox ran the game and how ancient that console is/was in comparison to the 360

Even more exciting was to see the game?s main menu where there was a button for Half-Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2! Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Ohio | Its an EA game when developed by them, publishing a game doesnt make it EA in my eyes. If that were the case, I wouldnt be buying HL 2.
EA is not dipping their hands into HL 2 and ruining it(Its Valves baby and they are very anal when it comes to such matters), so its not like itll be rushed and total garbage like most EA titles.
Tell someone at Valve that you think its an EA game and watch them explode  | |

If they owned Valve like they do Dice now(Im still livid about this!), then Yes I'd have to say its an EA game and cry myself to sleep. Thank goodness they dont own a single % of Valve. EA development studios have nothing to do with the final product, thats a GOOD thing(IMO)!
I'm wording this so others who check this thread don't get confused. I don't want them giving EA credit for an awesome game when they deserve none of it | |

I've never seen so many before. I quit playing cause of it to. Loved the game but the load screens were sucking the life outa me. They better have fixed it.
