I was really, realllllllly disappointed to hear Major Nelson say on his podcast the other day that the 100-friend is likely to stay. He indicated that the average friends list has somewhere between 20 and 30 names on it. He wouldn't say exactly how many, or what the user group was...
My guess is, among 360 users with Gold memberships, that number almost HAS to be higher.
Sadly, he implied that they aren't going to be doing anything about it in the near future, despite it being one of the most requested upgrades to the service.

I just cleaned house, and am still at 97 or 98... I guess I should be more strict about who gets cut. Most of the people probably cut me a long time ago.

| It's definitely time to "clean house" here. I need to get all these Oompas off my list! They keep gnawing at my shin! | |

I know a few names have randomly disappeared off my list... and I didn't removed them. oops...!

| I'm at 89 right now. I just wish they would let you organize your friends list a little bit. | |

Yeah, I had heard the same thing. Apparently changing the friends list size would be an incredible pain in the rear.
I might be back up to 100. I may have to do some clean up soon too.
And yes Quo, I think if you remove someone, I believe you are removed from their list too. Not positive on that one tho. Maybe we should test it!

| Yeah, I know I've been removed from people's list because they disappear from your list once they remove you. | |

I only actually play games with about 15 or 20 of them. I have a lot of you guys from PGL on my list but I never seem to play with any of you. You must all be on late at night.
