Crackdown Demo Impressions

I played some solo and I really enjoyed it. It is like GTA in the sense that it just feels right. My only gripe/worry is the fact I leveled up like 20 times in the demo alone, I want this game to not be short. I will definitely pick it up whether I get in the beta this week or not.

What did you guys think?

Downloading it now. I've never been that good or even that fond of the GTA games so maybe the spin they put on this one will interest me more!

Maybe the maximum level is just really high. I'm glad the game "feels" right though. Hopefully it does for me too. There is no real way to measure the feel of the game, but that is why I love games like Halo and Rainbow Six.

When you jump and pull yourself onto the roof of a building, it feels fun. I will be up for some co-op tonight, I have to work a half-shift today so, I'll be on at like 8.

I just spent 30 minutes watching Crackdown videos on GT.com. It looks VERY FUN! And I was one of the skeptics regarding this game. I'll download the demo tonight, but I doubt I'll pick up a copy on release day (unless of course this game plays like a must have). Does anyone know if there are a limited number of Beta invitations in Crackdown or will all copies have one?

Limited. For instance, if you want to pick it up from Buy.com, you need to order by 1/28.

You have to preorder at EBGames by tomorrow to be guaranteed one.

Interesting - still not sure if I should get one yet ... do EB Games and Game Stop have the same policy - limited Beta invites? Also, do we know what has come of our registered beta invites?
