I just read it will have updated graphics, 5.1 sound, 4 player split screen co-op, and Live multi-player / co-op. Its available for download now.

Until last night, I owned Quake 4 which came with Doom 2 and I can say that is a game that although I have many found memories of it, it didn't keep well for me. I have no interest in downloading Doom for $10.

Looks like my inner cynic is back in full effect.

At first I was suprised that it wasn't full screen. You can enlarge in the options panel. But, the game play is just like I remember. I was 45 mins late comming back to the office because I fired this one up. This is the best action game to hit the arcade since Geo wars as far as I am concerned.

Snice they gave it and Doom 2 away with Doom 3 I kinda agree. I may get it anyway but it is a little pricy.

Crap... I didn't really think it through, but I was thinking it was Doom and Doom 2. I still like it, but Doom2 was much better IMO.

I down loaded the full game last night and had a great time playing through the first few levels. DOOM is still great fun and SCARY The addition of 5.1 sound is awesome! The graphics are not great but the game is playable on a large screen. If anyone is up for some co-op tonight shoot me an invite. I should be on around 10:00 PM EST

Maaaan!!! I gotta quick getting sucked into the Marketplace stuff!! I *have* Doom3 - and had no idea that 1 and 2 were included with it!! Plus - I didn't do my MS Points translation, so I didn't even realize it was $10!!

So - great - I just paid $10 for a 15 year old game, that I already own!!
