When I was starting out I started attracting Tafflies to my garden, they are easy to get there apparently.
Once they arrived, I directed them into an open flame and they turned into RedHotts. You can sell each RedHott for about 2100 if I remember correctly. They're cute, but worth much more in chocolate candy.

I was a veggie and flower growing machine, fertilizing everything to the max and then selling it. I usually kept most of the pinata I bred. Once I hit 100K I stopped as I thought I had plenty of cash. From then on I just played the game casually and now I am around 160ish. Orchids, Sunflowers and Bird of Paradise are where it's at for making the cash.

How did you get this to work? Any time I've tried that with Tafflies, they end up sick and need to be healed by the doctor. Are you supposed to do it when they first arrive, or can you do it when they're fully grown?

You have to pour water on them immediately after they catch on fire or they get sick instead of "mutating" or whatever.
And it's after they're fully grown.

I am always hurting for money, so I am going to try some of these ideas. I think I playthis game wrong sometimes. All I do is look out side of my garden, find what I dont have and then figure out how to get it. I got a Newt this weekend which for me was fun. But shortly a toad wanted to eat him! So I smashed that toad.
You are all way beyond me though. Maybe once I get some money I can do the fancy things. Like build a house....

I have been doing the chili deal ... mostly. However, if I overpopulate, I usually sell lower cost pinatas. Now, once I learned about 'evolved' species that idea is a crapper if your pinata can evolve so you can get your 20 M.R. achievements.
I haven't gamed much as of late. Work has been busting my A$$!

Now why didn't I think of that?
Thanks for the tip Quo.

You can also make money by building a Honey Hive for the bees and a Milking Shed for the cows. Then all you have to do is buy a bee keepers hat to put on the bees and direct them to the hive and they will make honey and you can sell the honey. Or buy a bell to put around the cows neck and direct it to its shed and it will produce milk. It's really easy.

Buy orchid seeds, about 8 at a time, fertilise each one 3 times and sell them for 1800 each.

I do the honey thing as well for my buzzlegums. I got them a hat and all.
I haven't stepped into the 'domestic' pinatas yet. Tempting but I am just overcrowded at the moment.
I still want to do the four headed snake.
