I freed up some Hard Drive space...

After seeing my available disk space on the 360 go below 1 GB, I decided to start looking for ways to cut back. I usually don't keep downloaded videos on there for too long, but I had 1 or 2 that I could dump. Then, I went to the Arcade games. I had close to 80 games downloaded, where maybe only 20 of them are full versions or trials that my 4-year-old likes to play. So, I unloaded all the other trials that don't ever get any attention. The end result: I have now freed up an extra 2 GB of HDD space. Now, I'm not so pressed to spend $180 on a 120GB hard drive.

Yeah, but you don't really use your 360, do you? I think a lot of map packs and game updates make up the majority of my bytes.

I am glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. I have heard rumors that the 120GB drive will drop to $150 or so in September, so hold out just a little longer.

I think you are right Zoom I have no videos, music or other non-game content. Maybe 10 themes or so. I have only a couple trial games but I have 55 or so Arcade games I have purchased. I do buy most add-ons. I have played over 170 games per 360voice so I assume that is a lot of game saves sitting out there. I have about 87GB free on the 120GB HD.

Neither do I. I have NEVER bought a theme, gamerpic, video, etc. Just map packs and arcade games.

Zoom, did you ever play Oblivion? Check your game saves there. Chances are, you have about 25-100 saves that each take up a bit over a MB (I think). I had close to 150 saves when I deleted all but a few of them.

Personally, I download some videos and such, as well as DLC. But, for some reason, I've always hovered somewhere between 7 and 9 gigs of free space.

No, I never did pick up that one. CoD3 is taking up 1 GB, mainly due to the maps. I still have the game, so I'm not going to delete that stuff. I had a bunch of Halo3 ViDoc's, and I watched 'em all one last time, then freed up another ~2GB. The only Halo3 video I kept was "Landfall", I think it's called. I'm now at about 4.5GB

I only have the 20G, and I usually only have 1 to 3 gigs of space to use. Some of it is some videos that I like having. Some of it is stuff that came on the drive that are not available in the market place if I did delete them. The bulk is a lot of game packs and updates. I don't keep demos very long.
