360 DRM Tranfer Tool is Live.

Remember the talk of an online DRM transfer tool for your 360? We'll it's finally up (yesterday I think) and it's about damn time. We can finally transfer all of our DRM licenses to our current console. What this means is no more having to sign into Live to play LIVE arcade titles or not being able to use downloaded content.

This can only be done once every 12 months. So hopefully MS won't release some uber-360 next month.

Update: Good god. Now I have to re download EVERYTHING in my download history. Time to grab a few brews for the hr or more of going through that crap.

If your 360 is replaced by MS they do it automatically at the shop before returning it to you.

Not true. Neither of my 2 refurbs had content switched over. I called tech support for a remedy several times and they just kept telling me to just play while signed into XBL. They really didn't have a clue. The new toolkit is nice but I won't be using it as I am sure I will have another go around in the refurb cycle.

If I upgrade to a 120GB HDD, do I need this DRM Transfer Tool? Or, does the included transfer cable handle moving all the games to the new HDD?

The transfer cable worked like a champ I had no issues.

How long ago did you have yours replaced? This is the new policy.

Just got mine back on the 18th of June. I thought there were swapping things over long before it, or supposed to be doing it before sending them back. I am asuming if I call again now they will just tell me to use the tranfer tool

I have done that before per their instructions with my last new refurbs and no dice. Wonder and Wood Ghost just got their replacements, have they had any luck without using the DRM Tool??

I went into my down load history & re dl games & maps. Far as I can tell it;s all working. Didn't use any tool just dl them again per MS instructions that they sent with my redone 360.

can you play your arcade games offline and on a different profile other than the one you used to purchase. I have tried numerous times but no dice.

Spoke to soon. Some of my arcade games I can play offline & some I can't. Might try the DRM tool. But I just got my 360 today & dl all my old arcade games but no offline for some of them like uno & a poker game,

WTH? That's random. It should be working fine. I wonder if all the kinks aren't quite worked out. Thanks for pointing it out NIN and WG. Anyone else been able to play games offline?
