Wireless network adapter problem

Have any of you had your wireless network adapter stop working suddenly? Mine will not connect, and when I run the test, it always shows the adapter as "disconnected."

What color is the light on the back of the adapter? Is it lit up red??

It was lit up red. Now, it will only blink once when I plug it back in, or show nothing at all.

When it blinks, what color does it blink? Have you tried other ports? What happens when you plug it into a computer or something? People with working wireless adapters should try that out too, so we can compare and contrast.

I've had mine act up. I usually reboot everything so I'm not sure what fixes it. It just does

Good idea Keez! I plugged it into a front port on the 360 (nothing) and on the computer, a message comes up that the USB device has malfunctioned and cannot be recognized.

I think it's toast.

i never had any problems with the wireless adapter i used to own, i tested it out on a pc just out of curiousity but it didnt even turn on, so i dont think the pc test is a solid one

That's what I was thinking. The weird thing is that it worked fine last week, then we disconnected the 360 for a Rock Band night. I didn't get around to reconnecting everything until yesterday, and now the adapter is toast.

Oh well, maybe I'll just run a network cable to it instead.

I've had mine not connect, but usually I had to unplug it and restart the 360. For some reason, it wasn't getting power.

I would try to a different port. Then again, is the 360 saying it's connected wirelessly or wired? If it's no IP, then you may need to restart your router so it'll assign all new IPs too all devices.
