Start up the ol' Xbox 360, kick up the feet as GTA IV starts up, then GGGGGRIND! WTF was that?
"Disk Unreadable."
So I clean the machine, restart, same result. Checked the disc and it looks like someone used it as a frisbee skipper on asphalt: my GD 360 ate my f#%&ing new disc!
I had a disc scratch remover & tried it out, but no luck. A feeble old lady could break a hip on the deep grooves in that puppy. So... I'm gonna have to send my 360 off to have it repaired. I threw in a used table tennis game to see if it would happen again, and it's fine...
Anyone else have this disc scratching issue? What did you do? I started getting this disc unreadable crap around the time FFoW came out, but I've never had a disc actually get scratched before.

| I haven't had the experience; thank god. But I've read about it on the net. It's like M$ went with the cheapest disc drive they could get. Sorry to hear about that. Maybe you might be about to bitch and get a replacement disc. I know M$ does it with little questions ask IF it is a microsoft produced game. | |

My brother was given a free copy of Halo 3 that as some scratches that need to be buffed out.

sorry man, MS knows about this issue, so i dont see why they would give you any troubles replacing the game, but who knows, it is MS

So he fixed it by hitting it (banging on garage floor) and blowing it out with compressed air. He says it is quieter than it ever has been. I asked for a How To video for YouTube. So far he hasn't gotten me one.

| OH GOD, That Vertical to Horizontal F'ed up my Saints row disc SUPER BAD, It happened after ZOOM Jinxed me with a damned Xboxlive Message "Did GTA come out yet? HAHA" thats when the 360 fell flat but while it was falling it scratched perfect circles on my saints row game. I was gonna take it to Gamecrazy to get it resurfaced but the ass said it wouldnt help. Im pretty sure he was lying to me cause he looked too damn lazy but i got my GTA now. Send it off to Sam and let him work his magic, cause having GTA messed up like that is horrible.
Did you lay it or stand it up while the game was spinning in the 360 Thornes?

| Dang bro - that sucks. My 360 makes clunking/grinding noises when I turn it on, but so far it has been kind to my discs. Send that disc off to Sam and Geoff and let them work their magic on it! | |
