| I don't get it I was laughing earlier this at one of my buddy's from college. He's into video games. Gets most of his games when they come out. Always checking gaming news and so forth. He got his 360 at lunch. I got mine Feb 2007, a couple months after release. I got broadband in May 2006.
I've played online gaming with him twice, and it was GH3. I wanted to see if he wanted to do some gaming earlier this week. Suggested we play something different such as RV6, GRAW, and so on. He tells he has no headset (mic) to use; kind of important for some of the shooters.
I laugh because he's paying that $50/yr and basically never uses it. Must be nice to have money to waste. Any body got buddies like mine, LOL. Heck, I have three headsets; one that came with my premium system, another from the messenger kit, and last one is an adaptor to use my cellphone wired ear piece. If I didn't want to keep in case anybody comes over and wants to do some online gaming, I would give him one of mine.

As for the headset issue, I do have a few that keep theirs muted - ALL the time! I don't get that, but hey - biddly dee biddly bo.

| I can see where some games where it isn't necessary such as GH or RB. But something like GOW or most FPS, makes it a lot easier for those co-op or team missions.
I just think it's funny he pays for a service he doesn't use. It's one thing if he's not using all the time. I honestly think he's probably only did the online gaming thing maybe once or twice besides with me. He made a comment he didn't like all the trash talking when he tried one time. We can understand that since one of the reason we hang around here, 8)

-Brad | After 30 days being offline I remove them from my list. There is one exception and sadly that is death. My good gaming friend Dead Skin Mask 3 has been off line for 112 days and yes he died. He will remain on my list as a tribute. You know you're starting to get old when you're gamer friends start passing away. My current oldest gaming friend is 68.
It's funny really, I've been on Xbox live since the Beta testing. I have 75 people on my friends list but out of that 75 I only game with a small group of about 15 or so every day. We've all been gaming together for at least 3 years on a daily basis. I consider this group of people to be just as real ,or good friends as my life long real friends that I hang out with in person.
My point? Who knows , to my Xbox gaming buddies!

I don't know how long he's been on XBL. He could have gotten it when it was on the original Xbox. It's just silly to me overall.

Age: 38 | You know, I used to be one of them "accept every f/r" people because I didn't want to be rude, but I've gotten to the point of having to literally clean the list out from time to time and it's a pain. Especially when people change their g/ts and you don't know about it from a forum or whatever...
I still game with people I've known since I first got Live, and that's what I'd like for my friends list to become - everyone on it I game with all the time...
NP, man - that's an awesome tribute...

| Not being into FPS may take you off the most popular games such as Halo, COD4, GOW, and so on, but it hardly limits an online gaming experience. There are plenty of games with online gaming such as Forza, PGR, Marvel Alliance, Legos, GH and RB.
I know my buddy had one of the bad experience early with the punk kids and the trash talking. I think almost all, if not all, here have had it. I've found that not playing the most popular games really reduces the chances of that experience. These are the people who play the game because they really enjoy the game. Although they may like leader boards and stats, it's not the end all or something impressive to others still playing.
I've been rather impress with the few GRAW sessions I've done not on Sundays. Everyone plays well with each other. Host is willing to help people get online achievements if possible. I remember once in a co-op mission, one guy got killed by friendly fire very quickly. In the lobby he had some choice words. Everyone asked if he accidentally walked into the line of fire. He wouldn't stop. Everyone told him to shut up, and we started the game.

| As to my friend list, they're people I've played with at some point. Most are guys I play with quite a bit. I also have all my real life friends and coworkers there too. There are a few guys on PGL I haven't play with in quite some time, but since I don't accept random FR (I don't deny them either till I can figure out where it came from), my list isn't very large. I like my list to a place where I can find an online with a friend quickly. | |

| I have a friend that pays for live just so he can download the updated rosters for NHL and Madden that's it. Personally I think that makes him an idiot. | |

Even if you haven't bought the coop packs - you can host & we'll join your game. If you want to play GRAW 1 we can do that, too - I have the dlc for that as well, and others still have that game. I feel hurt, man.
