Wow, it took you guys 12+ hours to beat the first one? I got to were I could beat it in around 6 hours, but that was on purpose.

Sissy! Rape and Pillage my man!

I liked the first Fable quite a bit. Back when I rented it, I had heard none of the hype and boasts, so I expected nothing going into it.

The 12 hrs was a guess... Like I said, I was purposely avoiding the end of the game. That is a little different than your multiple plays, racing to the finish.

I used to do that with the original Tomb Raider on the PS1. I got to where I could finish the first level in under 7 minutes. I thought it was cool that they added the time trials to Legends. I haven't played Anniversary yet, but I am sure they have them in there also.

18 was a rough estimate... I explored everywhere on that game. There wasn't enough there.

Morrowwind took me ~110 hours, but I looted everything I could.

Mass Effect runs 40-60 hours per play through for the complete the majority of the game achievements.

Oblivion is ~100 hours with both expansions and plenty of exploring.

I guess I was expecting something more like those rather than a crappy once play like Nox.

Maybe someone can answer this. I thought I saw/read something about being given access to the pub games before the actual game came out if you put a pre-order in. Has anyone else heard anything similar? I've already paid full price for the pre-order but the store claims to have heard nothing about it. Weird.

Correct, they should release some XBLA content for Fable2 shortly. It will be a few pub mini-games to allow the player to earn in-game money prior to the release.

I think they are supposed to start handing out codes for the pub games with preorders next month so you may want to call back on your pre order. Its probably only at gamestop too.

Gamestop it was. A friend of mine owns my local GS so I generally get most of my games and info from him. I'll have to talk to him later and find out what's up.

From Gamestop's website

Fable 2 release date announced

I didn't see this here so woo hoo, Fable 2 hits US Oct 21, Europe Oct 24; Pub Games Aug 13 - Xbox 360 Fanboy I loved the first one so this is a must buy for me. Heck I might even though it in again to get the vibe back. Does any one know if the disk is backwards compatible? I know its downloadable so you would think "yes"

Fable and Fable:TLC are both backwards compatible. I'll definitely be going through the first again.

I was kinda angry to find out that The xbox origionals fable wasnt the TLC version, but it was tons of fun to play through again. I cant wait for this one and I hope it is at least 50-60 hours this time instead of being able to do everything and I mean everything including maxing out all levels and powers in less than 30 hours.

That is pretty strange... why, if both are compatible, would they not put the Lost Chapters version on Xbox Originals. That doesn't even make sense to me.
