I think this says it all. That's exactly what's going on. "Let's make it as good as last year. No better. We don't want people expecting too much...

I think they'll "innovate" next year by adding highlight clips like were in NCAA last year...

I was thinking about why they don't have clips. It's probably because the NFL doesn't want you to watch them. Silly NFL.

Man, that totally blows. The Madden series hasn't put out a quality product in quite some time, and now there is no reason to either. They just add gimmicks. I wouldn't mind if they worked on better game play in AI and controls, and better frame rates and solid running game.

It's why I like the 2K series. Sure sometimes they have a stinker year, but they're always trying to improve those specific areas, and the online experience.

Ironically enough, I like video BB games more than football, LOL.

Ya know - I still have my 99 Madden on PC (pretty sure it was 99) - anyway - that has ONLINE franchises - complete w/ online seasons, online drafts, online trades [w/ trade deadlines etc]!

9 years later and that game is STILL better than any offering they've had on XBox (original or 360). Sure the latest 360 version is shiny and pretty - but the game play and FEATURES are non-existent!

I don't get it.

Add to that - I looooooooooove how in the interview he says something like "so now we can have a 5 year strategy" - great - another 4 years of no new innovations / features??

I hope they at least pick up the Backbreaker game w/ the Euphoria engine... of course - still gotta add the features (online franchise - better gameplay) or else it's just putting more paint on it.

Backbreaker looks like it could be sweet!!!! Euphoria is the engine behind GTA IV? I could have sworn it was the RAGE engine. Nonetheless, hopefully Rockstar or 2K is behind the game. I think 2K makes some seriously sports games, unlike EA. Except for Madden, and NASCAR, EA does not dominate and it usually second fiddle to the 2K series.

RAGE powers GTAIV. It was the same that powered Table Tennis.

I know about RAGE since my buddy works for rockstar on worked on the engine. According the linkn giving in the video, they said it was engine on GTA IV. Also, my buddy would like everyone to purchase games using the RAGE engine, LOL.
