COD2 help, again.

I'm stuck on veteran D-day, please help before I hurt myself or someone around me.

At the top of the rope, I Snipe the big double gun and the mg42, then I go left, throw smoke go through a couple trenches and die. or go right clear the bunker come out the otherside throw smoke and die.

Where the F is the next checkpoint?? Thx

Interesting I tried that and a MG42 filled me with holes... but give it a shot.

i may be misinterpreting what you're asking here, but at the top of the rope at D-Day I went right and had a checkpoint immediately. then after continuing right, you clear the bunker. when the bunker's fully cleared (all rooms) you get another checkpoint before that insane stretch where you have to throw a couple of smokes and basically run for the next trench, get low and get ready to take out some guys up close. you should get the third checkpoint as soon as you're safe in the trench.

That is correct Quo if I remember correctly. It's been several months since I finished COD 2 on veteran but I do remember this being one of the harder missions to complete on veteran.

odd, at the top of the rope I actually went left, if I am not mistaken. I didn't find this mission as difficult as most others. It wasn't easy, that's for sure, but I found a lot of other missions harder than this one.

Well that video worked for me, only took about 3 times .

Jon, I read a couple walkthroughs, and you can go left as well.

Quo, I cleared that bunker 20+ times and never got a checkpoint. Maybe the game hates me, or likes to see my reaction getting 1 shot pwned

I watched the video. Funny how differently the game plays for different people. I probably did it the hard way, fighting through the bunker, but you end up in the same place-- right in front of the MG42 facing off with a couple of germans up cloe and personal in that bunker. I must've been mistaken about the checkpoint inside the bunker. My bad.

I also never ran straight into the trench right off ot the rope... I kept getting pwned before I got there... so i looped right, cuz you can access the bunker area through another trench to the far right. It all funnels down to the same spot eventually.

LMAO at the green smoke - I can't even remember how many times I played that one. I finally ended up laying prone on top of the bunker (but behind the walls) where you have to put the green smoke and shooting a few bad guys who crept in there. That made it waaaay easier.
