I received my refurb 360 from MS a little over a month after it died. It made some funny noises when accessing the DVD Drive, but I figured it was fine. Well apparently I was wrong.
Since we had another baby on November 8, my gaming time has been a little on the slow side. I haven't had the time to play ever night so in the last month I've perhaps played 15-20 nights, sometimes only for an hour or so. Very unlike my 6 nights for 3-4 hour norm.
So I was a bit dismayed when last night after finishing up my Madden League game, I ended up with this:
Make sure you have your audio on as the video isn't much (it was dark). The sound is what pissed me off. I wanted to bash the thing last night, but I didn't.
Now it won't read any discs. That last little clip is all it does now when I insert a disc.
So I guess it is another coffin for me. Man I'm so tempted to just bash this thing with a freaking bat.
well, you are not alone. This past Thursday my launch date 360 took a @#$%.It just wouldn't read the discs anymore. coffin is on the way.I can't wait a month, so i bought me an arcade 360. will see how long that one lasts
OMG, that sounded horrible? More like a belt sander than a 360. Don't you have your new elite around? Maybe you can just turn this system into an Xbox Live Arcade only system?
My 2nd sounded like that, but, it was my own fault. Because my console's tray is just above eye level for me, I put a disc on top of another disc already in the tray. That's about the sound it made.
Yeah, no need for me to state my thoughts on the refurbs again. Good luck with the 2nd refurb. I would send it to your MVP buds at MS. At least make sure you post that video in your top secret MVP forums. They need to hear that shit. Why does it take soooooo long for MS to get the repair center's ass in gear?
