I live for the launch frenzy! Well for systems that I like anyways. No way in hell am I spending any part of my life waiting out in the cold for a console that I dislike, profit or no profit. If someone came to my door and handed me a ps3 or Wii, Id hand them the money and then slap it on ebay, but thats not likely to happen
Dreamcast launch got me hooked on the frenzy, Xbox took it up a notch, and last November was just rediculously awesome!!
The launch frenzy for me is half the fun. I might not be saying that if I failed on any of those 3 missions(100% thus far).
*Some reports are saying that Nintendo may have as much as 7 to 9 MILLION consoles streaming in from its aunch till December 31st. So their mark of 4 million should be a "sure thing".
**Forgot to mention...I've never had a console die on me, ever, other than the ps1 I got for Tomb Raider 2(the second one died as well). And those werent launch systems, it was 2 or 3 years into its lifecycle. With that being said, potential launch hardware problems doesnt come into play for me.
