Mario 64, Super Mario World, and if you are into the SNES Zelda, that's a must to download.
As far as actual games are concerned, Rayman is my top choice!

Rayman for sure. I got Wario, and it is not so great after playing Rayman. You can preorder Wii Play. It comes with a Wiimote and like nine new sports like games. And in March, Mario Party 8.

I'm taking the plunge soon too. I'll probably wait until I pick up some work that pays good over the summer(roofing ftw), since my tax check is going to be pathetic. Turns out you can't claim your dog

I'll throw in another vote for Rayman. That game is freaking hilarious. 2 players on the bomb run is too much.

yea Rayman is really fun though I'm stuck with Wii sports. Wii tennis is like crack for me
I suggest picking up the console and preordering Wii Play so you can get the 2nd Wii remote with it. Its like a free game along with the remote.
Also pick up a classic controller if you intend on playing Super Mario World as it is necesary.
Good luck picking one up and when u do be sure to post your Wii number on that other thread so we can all link up.

That is hysterical - unfortunately for me - the only thing I'll be spending my tax money on is credit card debt

No.. Wii Play will always come with a Wii Remote, but from what I hear even most of the preorders are sold out so it'll probably be hard to come by.

dagg nabbit! It's probably the case that people are just buying it because they know they'll get Wii Remotes with it! Freakin' Nintendo and their short supply of EVERYTHING!

Picked one up this morning at Circuit City. Last one in the store and probably Cincinnati. I called at around 1, and they said they had one left. I get to the store, go to the game section and overhear the worker telling somebody that they probably are out, but to check the customer service desk.
So, like an asshat, I walk over to the counter and ask if they have any left. At first they said no, but another worker chimed in and said, yes we have one left, and I snatched it up. I felt bad, because the other people walked up behind me and asked about it. However, they were like... well do you have any 360's, so their heart wasn't set on the Wii anyway.
