I was a skeptic before the Wii came out but, this little system is definitely something you have to experience first hand to know exactly why it is STILL selling out!

I got lucky and saw Best Buy workers put out three right in front of me just this last Friday night. So, it really is the luck of the draw.

I still have never seen one in a store. Joe, if I do see one, I'll grab it for you. And for $450 you can buy it from me! Ha! Just kidding...

That sucks Joe! I got extremely luck and happened to be at a store when a guy was returning one that had been opened. They offered him far less than retail so I offered him a bit under retail, but more than they were offering. Then the store clerk starting calling all his buddies to see if they would buy it from the guy...! haha.. it was funny. I finally told the guy that I'd give him $220 cash for it right then and he accepted. So I got lucky and picked one up. I still haven't seen one in stores, but apparently my wife saw a few of them at Costco a few weeks back.

My local target had a butt load (allegedly) last Sunday. It really is just random. If I see one I am picking it up, and let the wrath of the wife be placated once she experience the thrill of the nunchuck ... that doesn't sound too good does it?

We got two in from our distributor the other day, heck we weren't even expecting to get them. Immediately sold them to two of our best customers and ordered some more. I don't know when we will get them though.

Fragz - once your wife plays a few games she won't be upset. I was very surprised to see my wife picking up the Wiimote and playing a few games.. and laughing the entire time. She's not a fan of games so it was very cool.

I finally found a Wii @ Target today. I had called them up and they said they had 30 just came in around noon, by the time I got there after the 15min drive they had 2 left so I basically got lucky.

According to the store manager that I spoke to there will be multiple shipments of Wii's this week at all Target stores.

I can't seem to put down the Wii Sports, it's really addicting!

It's really fun especially when you get others playin' it with you, too! Definitely check out Rayman if you get a chance. You will be laughing because of that game!

January: Wii Outsold Xbox 360 and PS3

According to sales data from The NPD Group, the Nintendo Wii outsold both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in January. The Wii sold 436,000 units last month, while the Xbox 360 sold 294,000 units and the PlayStation 3 ranked third with 244,000 units sold.

Even so, Microsoft is happy about Xbox 360 sales. Molly O'Donnell, a spokeswoman for the entertainment and devices division, said year-to-year sales increased an 18 percent.

Last week, the president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America said he believes the Nintendo Wii will surpass the installed base of the Xbox 360 with the current sales rate. If the Nintendo Wii continues outselling both the Xbox 360 and the PS3, then Gabe Newell will be right about his prediction.

I am glad that this is happening. The Wii is a fantastic machine that caters to ALL ages. You know, Microsoft has the online play and online stuff in general down pretty well, but nothing really beats some quality family time or time with the friends with the Wii.

The interaction between players is just that much better when you get to react to each other, like the Wii kind of forces you to do!!
