Charging Dock For Wii Remote Revealed

Nyko to the rescue.

Nyko Technologies, a company that manufactures and markets innovative peripherals to enhance the digital lifestyle for work and play, exposed their latest product, and it’s for Nintendo Wii. The Nyko Wii Charge Station houses two Wii remotes and charges your controllers in between play, putting an end to changing dead batteries all together.

The Charge Station retails for $29.99 and will come complete with two NiMH rechargeable battery packs (that slip into the back of your Wii remotes) as well as a dock to charge them. According to the online retail outlet EastLuna, the battery packs fully charge after two hours. EastLuna also reveals the Nyko Wii Charger Station will be available 1/28.

I've been hesitant on anything made by Nyko recently. After hearing about the debacle with the Xbox 360 Intercooler product... I am wary about purchasing any of their stuff...

Yes, I am!

I dunno, 3rd party add-ons have always proven to be iffy. I remember back in the day of PS1 and PS2 I've bought or known people to buy 3rd party memory cards, ie. madcatz, nyko, etc. And they've ended up having their saves magically disappear. I remember that happened for me on the PS1 several times with my Final Fantasy VII saves.

I have been holding my breath waiting for this to come out. It seems like my controllers are chewing through batteries like they're going out of style. Not that big a deal until you put the colored condom on it, then it's a pain in the butt changing them out.
