Wii Investment
Last night I was at Target and they had extra controllers and Numchucks, so I bought three of each plus a new game called Elebits for my family to play. So now I have invested -
Wii $249
Controllers $120
Numchucks $60
Component Cables $30
-----------------
TOTAL $459 in hardware!
I am just hoping that this system will be worth it and we will all have a great time. On the flip side, the total cost with four contollers is still about $150 less then the 60GB PS3....
I have all this stuff hiding in my garage waiting for xmas. It is funny. Oh, I am also looking forward to playing some of my old Gamecube games for the first time in years...

I don't know if it does or not. But I still have my two wavebirds as well as two regular GCN controllers.

I played Red Steel for about 30 minutes tonight at a friends house. The wiimote was absolutely horrid in the controlling that game. Thumbs down on that game. However, the Wii Sports stuff was pretty kick-ass. Hopefully, they can rectify the problems with the FPS stuff. If games keep coming out with control schemes like Red Steel, I probably won't buy a Wii.

Yeah, I have heard similar things about Red Steel. I bought a Wii for 100% party and multiplayer games, where the 360 has just about forgotten/abandoned. Games like Worms, Monkeyball, Mario Party, Wii Sports, Mario racing, those type of fun games that four people can play at the same time. I still play my old xbox weekly just to play these type of games. I kept hoping that MS would get on the ball and work this gaming segment, but I think it is now below them after a year of releases. Fusion Frenzy 2 is coming someday though. Otherwise, I'll be whooping it up on the Wii with my family and buddies!

yeah, I heard some mixed things about Red Steel. Honestly, I would not get a Wii for these type of games, or even Call of Duty 3. Just doesn't make too much sense. Nintendo games have almost exclusively been party games and that's pretty much how it'll stay for me.

Party games on the Wii are where it's at. Thos games of Tennis, Bowling and Boxing were fun as hell. Boxing really made me sweat (I could get buff playing that, Rocky Balboa style!).
I'll still wait a bit to get one, probably around the same time I pick up a PS3. In fact, people may look at me funny when I walk out of the store with both in my hands. They may even be yelling, "He didn't pay for that!"

I'm still looking for two more numchucks. I still have not seen any Wii's (or accessories) in stock locally. It is crazy. First quarter 2007 has 3-4 party games coming out for the Wii, so we have a few months to stock up on extra controllers and stuff at least.
I'm actually looking for a side table or something to hold all my controllers in.
old xbox - 4
360 - 4
Wii - 4
Numchucks - 2
Wavebirds for Wii - 2
That is TWENTY controlling devices!!!!!!
Right now they are all piled in one cabinet with no order. Something with 2 or 3 drawers would be very cool.
