When it comes to wins, he is the best ever. But the greatest category where he is the best ever, is the streak. He is #3 or #4 on the all time games played consecutively list. I think that is as impressive as Ripkens streak. 240 games played is impressive.
If he played in New York or another big market, I think he would be considered the best ever by more media outlets. I think Favre has a combination of stats, leadership, championships, and guts that makes him the best ever.
I am a Vikings fan making these statements. Just think what a Packer fan might say | | | |

Best ever QB, pipe dreams. I might as well say Kenny Stabler is the best ever or Jim Plunkett. They have as many Super Bowl rings as Farve. I don't even know if I would call him that good of a QB today. Solid yes, but it's not like it was back in the late nineties. Best ever...good question. Personally I would go with someone like Montana, Unitas, Bradshaw, Aikman and the like. Farve will still be a first ballot HOFer, assuming he doesn't do something stupid and get arrested for rape or stealing. | |

| Don't forget he'll probably break the interception record too. Don't forget Brew, your team's season is riding on a 37 years old QB. Not to say they can't win. Plunkett was a old fart when he won his Superbowl. But most QBs win when they're not old and crusty.
If it was me, I would be praying that Oline stays healthy. We see, see last year, what Farve does behind a question line.
