First Week Matchups

Quo vs. EdM (Thunder)

A battle of North Carolina vs. West Virginia with the winner taking South Carolina and East Virginia, or something like that. Quo comes into the game with his Rams backfield of Bulger and Jackson and a WR duo of Johnson & Johnson (Chad and Calvin). EdM counters with LaDainian. That’s it, he doesn’t need anything else. Actually his does have Bulger’s battery mate, Torry Holt in his lineup. Look for EdM to sign Byron Leftwich and change his team name to “We are Marshall, Seriously”

Botmann vs. D_Litch

D_Litch is in trouble in this one, Botmann’s 360 crashed so he has plenty of time to pour over his lineup and tweak it for maximum efficiency. And Botmann kinda has to like his Chargers defense against Rex Grossman. D_Litch looks to get off to a quick start on Thursday night with Peyton Manning, and then hopes to close things for the week by having the Ravens D crush Keezy’s Bengals.

Woundup (49ers) vs. Crankbait

Woundup has been frantically calling Chief’s coach Herm Edwards to rethink this “limiting LJ’s carries this week”, so we’ll have to see how this turns out. But Woundup has done a great job with his team, heck he even has McNabb and TO on the same team. His fantasy team. Crankbait, a.k.a. The League Police, will counter Woundup’s McNabb with Westbrook and Reggie Brown, but what does he do to counter TO’s mouth? That’s right, silent assassin Marvin Harrison.

SeahawksTD4 vs. Keezy

It is going to pain Keezy to see TJ Houshmanzadeh catch passes for the Bengals but score points for the Seahawks this week. SeahawksTD4 also throws Matt Leinart out there at QB, and old dependable and reliable Shawn Alexander. Heck, we might even see Travis Henry, he of the 9 kids from 9 different momma’s fame. Keezy success rests in the good hands of Tom Brady and the running of Rudi Johnson and by having kicker Shayne Graham on his team, Keezy is looking for a lot of rushing TDs followed by extra points.

Lord Sam vs. DMiller68

DMiller68 is looking for the Bucs to have a crappy day on Sunday, so his Seahawks go off. And by his Seahawks I mean Hasselbeck, Branch, and the defense. That would be like a double-win or something for our Twango.com friend. Lord Sam starts Tony Romo who has visions of the last time he played the Seahawks and the missed hold on the game winning FG. But he really isn’t playing the Seahawks this week, just DMillers lineup of Seahawks…oh, this is too confusing.

AZRaiderH8r vs. Purple People Eaters

“Free game rental with every win!” is what AZ might be chanting if he were crazy, and he is kinda crazy. I mean, have you seen his lineup? I’ve never heard of this Carson Palmer, or this Randy Moss, and I don’t even think they have Jaguars in Jacksonville. The Purple People Eaters are a tough team to figure out. The owner (Fuze01) lists his hometown on PGL as Green Bay, but he looks like he is a Vikings fan. How does that work out? I’ve been to GB, it’s a pretty small town, and a guy dressed in all purple would stand out.
