PGL Fantasy Football Report
Week 1
Snake still in preseason, Quo takes advantage!
Quo 123, Cobras 73: Maybe Snake didn’t know but we did start this week. Quo had a big 89-25 lead going into the Sunday night games and he kinda coasted to the win. Each of Quo’s first six players had double digit scoring, where Snake had zero players in double digits. Oh well, a rookie has to take his lumps, and I can just picture a surprised look on Snake’s face when he looks at the final score.
DLitch wins in photo finish!
DLitch 80, Botmann 77: This game went right down to the wire. DLitch had a 7-point lead with Reggie Wayne and the Vikings D. Botmann still had McFadden, Greg Jennings and Jospeh Addai. When the dust settled, Addai and McFadden came up a little short while Reggie Wayne came up big with a solid 15 on Sunday night.
League favorite takes care of business
Crankbait 98, Woundup 76: Crankbait got a monster 36-point game from Drew Brees, 17 from his Bears D, and a solid 12 from Calvin Johnson. Woundup must have been bouncing off the walls when Frank Gore ran one in from 41 yards for the 49ers and his team as he put up a solid 20. Torry Holt, however, scored zero points for Mr 49er.
Rookie coach gets huge week 1 win!
Supafreak 119, Keezy 90: Supa score early and often thanks to a monster game from Willie Parker (138 yards and 3 TDs) and his 33 fantasy points, and then McNabb threw for another 37 points as well. Keezy had some pretty good games himself, 22 from Kitna and 21 from Brian Westbrook, but it was not enough to offset the 70 Supa had from McNabb and Parker.
Brady goes down, Fuze still rolls!
Fuze 86, DMiller 77: I was going to point out that as the Seahawks go, so does DMiller, but that guy is a crafty dude. I mean, he played the Bills defense, who was going up against his Seahawks and that was good for 25 points. Fuze got 24 from Reggie Bush (great draft pick!) and 12 of them came on the TD pass he caught in the 4th.
Defending champ take one on the chin!
Causedawg 80, AZRaiderH8r 74: Uh, understatement of the year, Causedawg has a couple of decent RBs. Michael Turner (39 points) and Marion Barber (22 points) ran all over the place on Sunday and just about won the game by themselves. The defending champ looked terrible (I mean, he couldn’t even get his lineup in properly) but looks to bounce back next week.
Game of the (next) Week: This is easy. Anytime you have a Raider fan (Botmann) facing a guy who hates the Raiders (AZRaiderH8r) that is your game of the week. Too bad the Broncos and Raiders didn’t play this week!
