MMA Talk & News! (Mixed Martial Arts)
I know we have some fans out there, so i decided it was about time to throw up an MMA thread instead of always making a new thread for events.
So who seen that last UFC ILL WILL PPV fight?!
Ill wait to see who posts because i dont want to throw spoilers out there, but if you need to see it & know a couple MMA sites that have it streamed. I watched it on PPV at a lil party and it was pretty awesome. I believe every fight was a TKO by either knockout or Submission. Sweet stuff!

It was one of their better PPVs in a while because there were so many stoppages. They cut out a lot of the build up parts before matches too, which means people are no longer talking smack about one another. I thought that was okay, but needed a bit more. Anyways it was better than the one in Canada to be honest.

Forrest is now the Light Heavy Weighter Champion after he beat Rampage...anybody have thoughts on this?
Rampage needs to work on his Ground game, I know he misses Kneeing people in the face from Side mount but he cant rely on his Punches, slams & heart only. But I am happy for Amir Sadollah, dude seems super Humble/modest and he could eventually become an awesome fighter. He tapped out every opponent in the series which was hilarious cause every time he fought they all thought he was gonna lose. That boy can sure take a beating.

Wow Forrest beat Rampage?!? that's awesome I seriously though he'd have his hands full with him? But like you said Rampage is more of a stand up fighter. I'm glad Forrest won that's awesome I cant wait to see the replay of it. I always watch that stuff on Spike, and the WEC stuff on V.S. I can't get enough of it.

Mainly Forrest leg kicked him into defeat, a bit like what the Dean of Mean did against the Iceman.

I just read in EGM that they are developing a UFC 2009 game right now for a spring release. It will be interesting to see how that works out. From the article, it sounded promising.

One of the earlier matches that night was bloooooody.

He seems Cocky, but if you had watched "The Ultimate Fighter" season where Forrest & Rampage were coaches you get to really see how Rampage is. He is straight Class, Most the fighters said they were amazed because he looks and acts tough (he is very tough indeed) but he is like a Big baby bear. he makes the people laugh (he is the funniest fighter ive seen to date), and he would go and hang out with his team, Where as Forrest didnt. Forrest does deserve the championship because of his heart and he stepped his game up. Ronnie hit the nail on the head with this one,

He is used to Pride, Because he used to Knee people in the face from Side mount, Which i bet is super painful...especially the way he did it. That knee would bomb on you from about 2 1/2 feet high with a nice swing velocity. He has Huge muscle packed legs & knees, but it cant be used. I hope he just goes to the gym and trains on his ground game so he can be versed with other styles. We have yet to see him slam in UFC, & he is still young enough to come back. He has super heart because his first fight in the Pride was the Infamous "Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba...Which rampage slammed about 5 times and almost through him out of the ring, Eventually he was tapped out but to pick one of the worlds best fighters as your first fight is intense.
If anyone wants to know a site where you can watch the old & new fights let me know, I have a pretty straight forward Link that has a list of fighters and their fight vids that can be streamed.
Cant wait for the next Wanderlei Silva fight or Anderson silva for that matter...I heard he is now in the Light Heavy weight division, Awesome.

Well, More disappointing news came in yesterday; Quinton "Rampage" Jackson Arrested for Hit & Run.
Quote:
Former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson got busted just minutes ago, and is currently in custody on the way to the clink, but not before he was ordering on the ground, cops nearby with guns drawn.
Law enforcement sources tell us, Rampage was in a car crash near Newport Beach (that's near Laguna Beach in the O.C.) and then split the scene. Cops gave chase and eventually caught up and charged him with felony hit and run and felony evading arrest.
Here's the deal about the dumbest hit and run ever. Notice the truck he tried evading police in -- the one with the giant picture of him plastered on the side!
We're told there could be additional charges. No word yet on whether Rampage resisted arrest.
Jackson, the driver of a lifted, gray pick-up truck left crashed cars, shredded tires and sparks in his wake this afternoon when he led police on a short pursuit from the southbound 55 freeway exit onto Newport Boulevard where he hit at least three cars, police said.
The driver hit two cars at 19th Street and Newport Boulevard, then drove away at about 1:13 p.m., Lt. Paul Dondero said. A Costa Mesa police officer saw the driver southbound approaching 17th Street and tried to pull him over, police said. There, he hit at least one more car before continuing to run, now heading south toward the Balboa Peninsula, Dondero said. Some time after that, the truck blew a tire but continued to drive on its rims, Dondero said.
