Being as how i'm from the Detroit area, this is the best time of the year for me. Hockey playoffs, baseball just started, all is right with the world. There's not too many sporting events as intense as playoff hockey, so let the games begin! I thought it deserved its own thread so if anyone has interest, post it up here
congrats Woundup on yer Flyers making it in. I like the Wings chances this year, but the Sharks and Ducks scare the hell out of me, as does our traditional first round exit. We'll see what happens

ahahahahaa, nice AZ! I didnt even know Peter Forskin was still around! just kidding, he was a nice addition for the Avs, but where's Patrick RUAH when ya need him? I'd love for the Avs to take out the Wild, us beat the Preds to set up a 2nd round matchup with the Avs......altho if the Flamers beat the Sharks, all that goes out the window. Good stuff!

The have been my favorite hockey team since I started playing hockey, hopefully they don't have any trouble with the predators.
If only you could see all of my hockey memorabilia.

Wings-Avs was right up there with the greatest sports rivalries ever, it's tapered off the last few years, but maybe if they meet in the playoffs this year, it'll start up again.

Those were some great games, and led to me despising the Wings.
Side bar: did anybody see the clip of Roy's son beating the crap out of the other team's goalie? Man, it was brutal. Obviously Patrick's anger issues have spilled over to the kid. |
i saw that, they both got suspended and i
