Lakers 130, Suns 124
What a great game! This was the big debut for Shaq with Phoenix and a showcase of 2 of the top 3 teams in the Western Conference. It was a thrilling, well played game (both teams shot over 50%).
Shaq was pretty good, especially in the 2nd half with 15 points and 9 rebounds in 29 minutes. Amare Stoudamire had a huge game with 37 points and 15 rebounds, but Kobe Bryant led the charge for the Lakers with 41 points, and Pau Gasol chipped in 29.
Anyways, it was a great game. The crowd was really into it, which if you ask any Warriors fans from last season in the playoffs, make the game much more exciting to watch.
So, why can't the Denver Nuggets be like this? The Nuggets are my home team but I love watching Phoenix play some inspired ball.
Meanwhile take a look at the Sixers-Knicks game, and these three numbers: Sixers 37, Sixers 35, and Knicks 36. What are they? They would be the point total for the Sixers in the 1st quarter (37), the point total for the Sixers in the 2nd quarter (35), and the Knicks point total for the 1st
half (36). Needless to say the Knicks lost by 40.
