| GNemo0 - The DNS settings are usually given to you by your ISP and/or assigned automatically. What I usually do is allow the PS3 to pull them automatically, then write them down, then when I set it up manually I can use the same numbers that the PS3 grabbed automatically. Give that a try and see if it works. | |

Not to knock your wondful info, did you try setting up UPnP on both the PS3 and router (if available). I've had that fix the problem on the 360.
Personally, I don't like opening ports up or using the DMZ in my secured network. In theory, it can leave your secured LAN susceptible to breaches; hackers doing bad things.
| Speaking of security issues! UPnP is the FRONT DOOR to allow your router to be taken over. Never allow this feature from the WAN side.

| Zero - Sony describes issues w/ the NAT setting as inability to do certain things in games - like chatting, etc. From what I understand you already have a Type 2 though. That doesn't make sense then as the NAT shouldn't be affecting your connection. That's very strange.
Does your friend have a Type 2 setting also?

| Zero - your ports look good. Something else to try: in RFOM multiplayer you have to be in the same chat channel as whoever you want to hear on your team. I can't remember exactly how to choose that channel. Maybe that is the problem? | |

| Port 80 used by another module? Hm. That's odd. Do you have other port forwarding set up in your router? | |

| Anytime Dariman.
If it is working with Upnp you should be fine closing the other ports. If you can get it to work with only the proper ports open, however, it is a bit more secure.

| Welcome to PreGameLobby Mattrixmatt. Sorry for the delay in getting a response to you. It looks like the fact that you have two routers in the mix is mucking things up for you. Is there a way to turn off the router portion of the DLink DSL? Either that or the router you are administering is not the one that is actually serving IP addresses to the items on your network.
Can you access the admin pages of both the DLink and the Netgear? Post back and let us know and we can go from there.
We'll get you fixed up! | |

Not necessarily. Hopefully it's an easy solution to your problem. Worse case senario, you may need to put the PS3 outside your DHCP range and give it a static IP and put it in the DMZ of your router.
