Where do you typically buy games?

With all of the companies trying to gain our business I am sometimes overwhelmed at the choices. Do I buy a game online? Do I walk into a store and buy the game? Do I rent it and them buy it? I guess it depends on the game but I do like buying online and having the game shipped to me. If only I was guaranteed that every game would arrive to me on the day it drops in stores.

So what about you? Overall where do you make most of your purchases? In a Brick and Morter local store, over the internet or from a rental company?

99% of the time from local stores. I think I've only ordered less than a dozen games total online and those were games that either were not available in the States or ones that I found a ridiculous deal on.

Where's the option for "From a knucklehead of a distributor?" I can think of four people here that would vote for that. Here's a hint, two of them are at Cool Stuff and two are at Get Your Gamez.

I get most at Best Buy. The Reward Zone thing rules when you buy 1 million dollars worth of stuff and they send you a $10 certificate lol

Maybe I'll have to modify the poll. That stinks! I know our distributor (whom we've never used) appears to be a knucklehead as well, but I cannot confirm this as we haven't used them (mostly because they don't have what we want).

Local Store Game Crazy

I normally get my games a Game Crazy. But if there's a big game release, ie: Halo 3, I'll reserve it at GameStop. They seem to ge more units than Game Crazy and I've never had any complaints about them.

I get it at the Local Liquor store, In the Bay area they sell everything....j/k

Gamestop is usually where i go, i have no time for another spot, Get off work stop there on the way home and pick and pay and call it a day.

As long as you're modifying the vote, add a "I buy from one of the above, but if I lived in the Denver area, I would totally buy all my games from Cool Stuff"

Oh, and I am convinced that all distributors are knuckleheads, they just seem to make good first impressions with varying degrees of success. The problem is that their first impression seems to be proportional with the amount of disappointment they leave you with.

I buy 75%+ Online, normally through Jellyfish... Those I want on release day I find someplace local to buy normally Target.

Yep, knucklehead distributor is right. Fortunately we've got Cool Stuff to help us out (I'm pretty sure that we are their largest customer in terms of buying PS3 "turds" ) and we've developed a great relationship with a manager at a local GS. But when it's all said and done, we usually spend most of the day running around looking for big releases on launch day so we can ship them out that same day.

if its a must have quick, i hit bestbuy up, but i think im gonna try out buying from my game rental company on a few titles (cod4 namely)

ps- az, dont plan on getting your copy of cod4 back from me!

i always go to my local gamestop...cause they're close and they sell used games
