| Motion-sensing or rumble? Frankly I like them both ala the Wii remote, but if you had to choose ONLY one, which one would it be? | |

Not much more than an annoyance to me-- half the time I disable it, it's too distracting and it's easily overdone. I pretty much hate it when games use it to try and freak you out during tense gaming moments.
I'd much rather have something that did a great job of motion sensing instead.

| I like the motion sensing. Not that's really anything new, per se, I think in its current state it something that can be done fairly well. There is a lot promise for it. We just have to wait to wait for game developers to make a game to really utilitize it's potentional. Nintendo has shown what it could possible do.
I like rumble, but like Quo said, it's overly used in games. Do you really need the gamepad to rumble during a whole cut scene? I like it during the games during wrecks, being shot, or to give indiction of some secret (zelda64).

| Rumble. As of right now, I think motion-sensing is a gimmick. If MP3 is as good as people are saying, my opinion will change.
But, I still think having both will be cool *cough* Dualshock 3 v2 *cough*

I do hate when they are used as a gimmick like blast factor sending the shockwave to flip crap, just make it a button to do the shockwave it would be so much better. Both can be implemented nicely (shaking off guys in Resistance is a good way to do it) for some games.

I also cant stand not seeing a gun in aFPS, I hate the fact that if you play GRAW in first person you dont see your gun. So there is my requirments for a shooter, has to rumble when you shoot and you have to see a gun in front of you.

One of the best games to implement the rumble feature was Condemned. That game made you feel like you were there. Some of those scares combined with the rumble were brutal! I had to check for hershey squirts...
