How many games will you buy before the end of the year?

Damn it feels good to be a gamer! In terms of games we are rolling in some seriously awesome gamers these days. The writing in many of the top games these days is top notch, the acting fabulous, the stories engaging and the graphics intense and more and more lifelike every day. With the games we've seen this year and the games yet to come this year, I'm looking at my wallet becoming very light before the end of the year.

There are far too many really good games coming out this year. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining by any stretch! While my wallet may hate me, deep down I'm celebrating like a kid in a candy store clutching a crisp five dollar bill.

What about you all? How many games do you think you'll end up buying before the end of the year? Or perhaps you will end up renting more than buying? Let us know!

I'm not sure how many I will get. Just not as many as I normally would because of finances are really tight. I figure three at most. And some I may wait till they go on sale.

I was at gamestop last week and going over the lists of games coming out by the end of the year. A lot of good games, some are rents some are buys. I figured I would be spending over $400 on buys by Christmas.

I'm projecting at lest 5 games before years end. Rockband 2, Fable2, Fallout3, Gears of War2, and for the PC Warhammer Online. I was gonna get Starwars untill I played the demo, and the jury is still out on Ghostbusters. I may have to add that to next years budget. Then again I also got a wii (cant use it till Christmas) Argh to many games to play!!!

Ditto. I expect to be close to 100 games owned by the end of the year. The variety of great games is fantastic, but there's also a downside...where the hell will I ever find time to finish them?

I usually buy a game, put a decent amount of time into it, then move on to the next great new thing. Then when a lull hits, I'll go back and work on them again.

I don't know how many, but I see a lot of games that look to be a ton of fun! I'll just go with 7-10 though it could be more or less depending on what I just rent now that I'm on the Blockbuster rental plan.

With the end of the year coming I find myself dipping a little deeper into the bank account to quench my thirst for video games. Not only buying for me, but for the kids of course too! Wife says I should save more for retirement, and I should, since I want to retire early to have more time to play the damn games! LOL

Games on the end of year radar:

GOW2, Resistance 2, Starwars Force Unleashed, Fable 2, Fallout 3, NHL & NBA 2K9, Saints Row 2, GH:WT, RB 2, Lego Batman, - around $700 right there, geez!

@ Steelhead : I am the same way, I already got over a 100. I play till the next big thing then go back later to play like they were fresh again!
